The Two Horsemen

20080514-_MG_0540-2, originally uploaded by neepeople.

This is album art for a new band set to hit the scene early in 2009, 2H. It stands for ‘The Two Horsemen”, a little corny if you ask me. At any rate, they’re not too bad, but I imagine they’ll likely be one-hit-wonders with lots of media pomp and overexposure. They record company will probably find some gimmick to get them noticed. Typical. By 2010 no one will even remember them, not even their grungy cover of U2’s “Whose Gonna Ride Your Wild Horses”.

Lazy, Hazy Days

20080501-_MG_9830, originally uploaded by neepeople.

Feeling lethargic today, much like my overweight cat seems to act most of the time. In spite of this post’s title I can’t blame it on the weather, for its been beautiful here the last several days. I’m not quite sure what it is. Maybe I’m just getting old.

At any rate, I don’t *have* to be anywhere at all this evening, the very thought of which brings a smile to my face. I might even skip my five mile bike ride and just site around until the gymnastic finals come on NBC at 8pm. Looking forward to that! And two days from now our annual Dormition Fast will have ended, so I’ll be able to sit around with an adult beverage in my hand. Woo hoo!

Zeke in the Box

Zeke in his favorite box. He loves boxes… especially this one that lives under the piano bench. He happens to be in another box under the piano right this moment. Odd.

The Zekenstein Monster

From the last post, here is “The Zekenstein Monster” in all his glory. He sure was thin a year ago. Full set on our Flickr page.

Zeke the one-eyed Ham

Zeke the one-eyed Ham, originally uploaded by neepeople.

Zeke, one of our cats, lost his eye in a street fight. When we found him he was pretty messed up. We brought him in and he laid on a cushion in the back of the basement for three days solid, getting up only to eat and relieve himself. It was pretty pitiful.

A week and a half later, after finishing some strong meds, he had his bad eye removed and was fixed. That was a rough night for him, too! Perhaps I’ll post the photo of him just after eye surgery. We called him “The Zekenstein Monster”.

Here he is laying on the piano. Just as I was about to take the shot, he put his paw up, looking rather poised, I should say.
