The last several evenings/mornings have been cool here in Neeopolis. Even our typically hot house —whose brick holds the sun’s heat well into the evening— seems to cool down quite rapidly when the windows are opened in the early morning. It’s been nice.
And it reminds me that my favorite season is just around the corner! I enjoy Autumn most of all: the shorter days; the cooler nights; wearing jeans and sweatshirts more than shorts and tees; the anticipation of Nativity. It’s all just so wonderful.

This photo was taken last October with a little Autumn patch L had growing in the front yard. I *think* that this past spring we saw a pumpkin birthed in that same spot, obviously a descendent of one of the pumpkins pictured here. I believe it was smashed by neighborhood kids playing football on the front lawn.
