Hey, look!  Lunchbox poems!

David left our evening family reading time to go potty.  3 seconds later he started screaming as though someone were killing him.

“MOOOOOMMMMMM!  There’s a bug in the bathroom!”  And then the poor thing began sobbing hysterically.  I went up and rescued him from the bug.  It was one of those cool beetles that looks like they are wearing armor.  I don’t know what they’re called.  I put him on the porch so he can come back into the house ASAP.

Following the bug relocation, Jim declared that anything with its skeleton on the outside is “evil.”  To which I replied, “All creatures great and small, the Lord God made them all.”  He countered by saying that bugs must have come about “after the fall.”  I’m not a theologian so couldn’t pursue the conversation any farther.  But I still think bugs can be pretty cool.

(PS…Jim’s comments were all very tongue in cheek)

I am a one woman snot machine.  No joke.  This is the most disgusting cold I’ve had in a long time.  I know that’s TMI, but sometimes the truth must be told.
