Prayers Appreciated

Jim lost his job today.  Below is the prayer request going out to our parish tonight.  Thanks for any prayers and good thoughts.

I was laid-off today, a company wide reduction in force, mostly for people in my position. The industry doesn’t really have people in my position anymore, and I guess my company is just following suit. Officially my last day is the 23rd. I’ll receive 11 weeks of severance pay based on my salary (not commissions), which will be about 1/2 my income. I honestly don’t know where to start. I’ve been trying to build a business and focussing all my energies in the last year and half on skill sets that have nothing to do with my full-time endeavors over the last seven years. But they aren’t up to par enough to get hired at a salary we could live off of, and the business simply isn’t in a position to be sustainable… To go full time would put a significant cramp in my part-time business, a part-time work that we’d likely need to make ends meet. So, I’m not sure where to start looking or what to start looking for. At any rate, I wanted to let you all know. You’re prayers would be appreciated.
